Dupondius (Bronze, 16.61g 7), Nemausus, c. 27. IMP·DIVI·F Heads of Agrippa, laureate and wearing rostral crown to left, and Augustus, bare-headed, to right, back to back. Rev. COL NEM Crocodile walking to right, chained to a palm tree behind him. C. (Augustus and Agrippa) 7. RIC 154. RPC 522. Vagi 383. The rare early variety. Of excellent style and with an exceptionally attractive olive green patina with earthen highlights. Extremely fine.
